The GALDA Mentorship program seeks to connect residents and early career dermatologists with experienced board-certified dermatologists to provide advanced clinical training, promotion of leadership skills, and/or encouragement of research endeavors. The program will provide up to $1500 to reimburse housing and travel expenses associated with the mentorship experience. Applicants will be selected based on availability of funds and mentors. Mentees will be expected to write a brief summary of the mentorship experience for possible inclusion in the GALDA newsletter.

Eligibility:

Applicant must be a dermatology resident in training or less than 3 years out of residency

Applicants must be a current member of GALDA

Prior recipients are not eligible

Selection is based on the applicant's interest and availability of a suitable mentor

Members include dermatologists, dermatology residents and Fellows, paramedical office personnel associated with a dermatologist, pharmaceutical representatives or exhibitors, dermatology advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants), and non-LGBT allies including residents and other members.
